The Revelation of Donald Trump

Or The Revelation of John - Biblical APOCALYPSE using Donald Trump as an example.

The german television magazine Monitor published a thought-provoking report yesterday entitled "Trump Pulls Through - Coup in the USA":

"Trump Pulls Through"

Beginning of the YouTube video description:

"Entire government agencies closed, thousands of employees fired, constant verbal barrage against the judiciary and political opponents – the new US President Donald Trump and his team are radically reshaping the US government in a very short space of time. Leading the way is a man who wasn't even elected: Elon Musk. He's rampaging through federal agencies and seizing control of highly sensitive data. Experts are calling it a coup. What can American democracy do to counter this, and what do those Trump has already ousted say?

The video reflects the situation as of February 2025.

MONITOR is a WDR production for ARD."

End of YouTube video description

According to this report, in just 20 days, Donald Trump issued over 60 executive orders – i.e., presidential government directives – bypassing democratic institutions (Congress in the Capitol, two chambers: Senate and House of Representatives), including withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, withdrawal from the WHO, withdrawal from USAID, and total amnesty for the radical and imprisoned stormers of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, at the end of his first term in office, which he called a "stolen election" and which he himself had called for. He is currently trying to gain Russian oligarchs as new US citizens by decree for a $5 million cash bonus and, on the advice of his new D.O.G.E. (Department of Government Efficiency) head, Elon Musk, is dismissing top officials who do not fit his concept of loyalty via simple email.

Initial UN resolutions, initiated by the US for peace in Ukraine, no longer mention the illegality of Russia's war of aggression under international law and are supported by the Russian Federation. The president of the attacked Ukraine is labeled a dictator, and instead of relying on international law, speculation is being made about rare earth deals, whether by Putin or Zelensky. Putin receives Trump's unconditional understanding that, after all, he had made efforts to annex the occupied territories in Ukraine, which is why they should be attributed to him, Putin, etc.

What is happening here in public before our very eyes is nothing less than the complete dismantling of one of the world's greatest democracies.

The plan for this approach is laid out in Project 2025 – “Mandate for Leadership – The Conservative Promise”:

“Our goal is to create an army of compliant, vetted, trained, and prepared conservatives who will work from day one to dismantle the administrative state.”

Reports of Kremlin interference in his first election have long since died down, and the statute of limitations on the secret financial aid for his disastrous real estate deals by Russian oligarchs in Trump Tower has expired, so none of this will be possible this time, because he is ensuring that his new bosses at the CIA, FBI, and Department of Justice won't even consider an investigation.

But such investigations have also become unnecessary: Trump plays his cards right and convincingly, negotiating deals directly with Putin himself, over the heads of all other partners. Anyone who actually thinks he was recruited as Putin's agent back in 1994 during Gorbachev's visit is a scoundrel.

From now on, according to Trump's way of thinking, friendship no longer automatically results from a community of values; rather, friendship is flattery, bargaining, and business among strong leaders who manipulate reality as they see fit: power, violence, and blackmail over the law.

I am inevitably reminded of a biblical passage in the Revelation of John in chapter 13:

"1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, and on its heads blasphemous names. 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and its feet were like the feet of a bear, and its mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave it its power, its throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of its heads as if it had been slain for the death. And its mortal wound was healed, and all the earth marveled at the beast. 4 And they worshiped the dragon because it gave authority to the beast. They worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? And who is able to make war with it?" 5 And it was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and it was given authority to work for 42 months. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tent and those who made their tent in from heaven. 7 And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and authority was given to him over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 8 And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

Don't worry, I'm not a "Jehovah's Witness" or a member of any other doomsday cult, but certain images from the biblical book of Revelation show strange similarities.

If you look at the images and statements on Elon Musk's "x" platform or other film documents, the religious enthusiasm, or perhaps more accurately, fanaticism, of the American Republicans becomes clear: Trump surrounded by leaders laying hands on him in the Oval Office, in prayerful devotion, and a Trump who compares himself to Jesus and claims that God has shown favor to him, since only his ear was injured in an assassination attempt.

The universally worn cap with the inscription MAGA across the forehead may resemble the "mark on the forehead" that the "beast" inflicts on its followers. Since the "beast" emerges from the sea, one can safely assume that it could be seven human governments: perhaps the G7 states, which allow the "beast" Putin to wage a 42-month war? Then we would have six months left until August 2025 for Ukraine.

Putin as the "beast from the sea" and Trump as the "beast from the earth": the Antichrist, who acts as a propagandist for the first beast (Putin)... makes some sense!

Of course, metaphors can be applied to anything and everything with enough imagination. However, when imagination is overwhelmed by obviousness and reality, it can be quite unsettling.

What really makes me uneasy, however, is when large sections of humanity still haven't grasped what's happening. If you look at the reports from Ukraine, from those affected themselves, recorded on cell phones, from Mariupol, from Bucha... then you understand: this is not only 1,000 km away from our reality, but it also represents a real possibility of a threatening future for Europe. Do we seriously want to let this go unpunished and pretend nothing has happened? Where does the belief come from that Putin will be satisfied with Ukraine if powerful governments in Europe stand by and do nothing? Have we already forgotten Hitler and his Sudetenland Deal? It wasn't enough for him; he marched into Poland and Czechoslovakia anyway. The Munich Agreement was signed in Munich on the night of September 29-30, 1938, by the heads of government Adolf Hitler, Neville Chamberlain, Édouard Daladier, and Benito Mussolini.

In Germany we're debating defense spending and rearmament, knowing full well that this has been criminally neglected in Europe. Calculations are being made that are supposed to lull us into a false sense of security, which already considers European armaments to be superior to Russia's, and attempts are being made to derive a contradiction: how could Putin possibly want to stand in front of the Brandenburg Gate when even small Ukraine can stop him with its massive troops? How can further fronts then be established? The answer: if Trump has divided Ukraine with Putin, Putin has his troops back for other purposes! Is all of this really so absurd? Are pensions in Germany, heating laws, and industrial relocation really more important than averting a fate for Germans that could follow that of Ukraine?

I don't want to stoke fears, but I do want to challenge the frivolity of current thinking. When intellectual "doves of peace" dream of disarmament and arms limitation in these times, I feel fear and anxiety.

Europe must act immediately: an alliance of the willing is needed. Paris, London, Berlin, and Warsaw are called upon now. And yes: one can only threaten with force, and one must do so. Real fears, as well as feared or imagined ones, should be subjected to realistic scrutiny. Putin's incantation that it is absurd that he wants to threaten Europe is precisely that: an incantation that has already proved fatal to Ukraine.
